This was a great opportunity to design the new logo and website for Hogs vs. Hunger. The idea was to design an identity that best reflected a motorcycle rally. The logo has a little grunge to it and incorporated the oval shape and the fork from the Freestore Foodbank logo. The front of the motorcycle is implied with the tire and handlebars, using the Freestore Foodbank logo as the headlight. The wings were added for the Harley-Davidson reference and the banners for a “Sons of Anarchy” look and feel.
Here are a few versions of the logo and the progress to final approval. You can see there was a clear vision and just needed the timeline of proofs and client feedback to make solid and ready for promotion.
Here is a snapshot of the responsive website build using Dreamweaver, Photoshop, HTML5, jQuery, bootstrap and CSS3. The website did not need a CMS so no WordPress this time…just straight code.
I also created an online registration form (pay with credit card), retractable display signs, web banners, t-shirts and posters using the new logo concept and brand theme. Overall, this was a fun project and received positive feedback on everything.
